Since its foundation in 1891, the assortment has been considerably extended, from baking powder to cake mixes & decorations, frozen pizza, pudding, cornflakes, … The Nutrition Division grew to more than 9,000 employees. And the turnover reached the two billion euro mark. The company is headquartered in Bielefeld.
CHALLENGE
- Implementation of real-time and accurate software within an existing OEE measurement for 5 packaging lines within Dr. Oetker Netherlands
- Elimination of internal distrust regarding the correctness of collected data and information
- Optimal data control and transparency within an existing production line
SOLUTION
- A Proof of Concept was used to demonstrate the applicability of Objective to OEE in the existing environment
- Based on a positive evaluation of this Proof of Concept the installation of new sensors, of an interface with the lines and of the complete Objective OEE application was decided upon
- Beenen Industrial Automation took care of the implementation as partner/system integrator for the Objective software

RESULTS
- By introducing the Proof of Concept, investment costs were proactively reduced (e.g. detailed inventory, product improvements in the design …)
- High reliability of the OEE data from the packaging lines
- Fast and comprehensive reporting and analysis of the results, the data is now obtained in real time and actually used
